Sunshine and mild temps carry us through the day on Thursday. Look for lots of blue overhead and highs back in the mid to lower 80s away from the beaches today. Rain chance is zero and with lower humidity and a light west wind, it looking to be a great outdoor day!

Keep an umbrella handy for Tuesday showers

Keep an umbrella handy for Tuesday showers

Live 5 Meteorologist Chad Watson has your rainy Tuesday forecast:

Clouds are moving in this morning and some of them will drop showers as you head out the door. With polls open today in some counties on this special election day you may want to take the umbrella with you just incase you get caught under a light shower. Temps will stay in the lower 70s by afternoon on a mild southwest breeze. Some of the heavier showers may turn into a thunderstorm that could drop some small hail thanks to very cold air overhead. rain chances today are solid at 50-60%. Clearing and cool by late tonight into the early morning hours of Wednesday.

Sunshine finally returns

Sunshine finally returns

It the SUN!

Finally some sunshine returns to the Lowcountry as rain and clouds are out of here for a while. Showers ended overnight and a clear sky has returned for the first day of the week. A large area of low pressure to our west will push dry air our way today and that will keep us mostly sunny, dry and mild with highs in the mid 70s.

Have a great Monday!
