Storms expected to roll into the Lowcountry Friday evening
Live 5 News Meteorologist Chad Watson has your weekend forecast:
Morning clouds are streaming in from the west ahead of a storms system that will bring us rain and thunder before Friday is done. Early temps are in the upper 60s and low 70s with a mild south breeze. By mid-afternoon highs are back in the mid 80s with pop up storms west of the tri-county. After the evening rush hour we are expecting a line of storms to approach the coast and bring with it damaging winds and the slight chance of an isolated tornado. Rain chances after sunset are around 70-80%. Clouds and showers will linger into part of Saturday as much cooler air filters in behind the overnight rain.
