'Meet the Candidates' forum for James Island on Thursday
JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC)- The Town of James Island is holding a "Meet the Candidates" forum at the SC Department of Natural Resources on Thursday night.
The forum will be held at 6 p.m. in the auditorium at 217 Fort Johnson Road, and will feature Bill Woolsey, running unopposed for mayor, and 7 candidates running for town council.
The candidates running for a spot on the 4-seat town council are:
- Mary Beth Berry
- Leonard Blank
- Marilyn Clifford
- Sandi Engelman
- Sam Kernodle
- Darren "Troy" Mullinax
- Linda Womack
All officers will be elected at large and will serve two-year terms. Voting will be held on July 31 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
