Photo Gallery | SLIDESHOW: People turn to Splash Zone to beat the heat

JAMES ISLAND (WCSC) - To say it is hot today would be an understatement.

Saturday's temperatures climbed to 99 degrees, and are expected to hit triple digits before the day is over. That's not including the heat index, which reports indicate could reach 115 degrees. What better way to beat the heat than to enjoy a day at the waterpark.

Splash Zone at James Island County Park was packed full of people looking to cool down. A mix of children and adults splashed in the pool, floated down the lazy river, and slipped down 200-foot long slides.

Couldn't make it out to a waterpark today? Send us pictures of how you chose to cool down on this blistering Saturday! You can post them on our Facebook wall by clicking here, or email your pictures to My5@Live5News.com.
